mc2 sig on virtual consumerism
On 12 January 2006 the MC2 project organised a special interest group session focusing
on virtual worlds and virtual consumerism: the buying and selling of game objects and
other virtual assets and services for real money. Researchers introduced the phenomenon and its current business impact, presented the results of relevant research carried out in MC2, and outlined HIIT's future research agenda in this area. Group discussions clarified the
industry participants' interests in the topic. This page provides access to seminar
materials, discussion notes and relevant papers.
