Ethics

High ethical standards are essential for the future of research and the internal development of science and its place in society. Disregard of good scientific practice and misconduct and fraud in research have serious repercussions for science. Research ethics also encompasses the research subject's right to privacy and protecting the subject from other harm. Utilising research results involves ethical issues concerning the researcher, scientific community and society. HIIT uses the ethical committees of its mother universities, Aalto University and University of Helsinki.
