Schedule:
2015-11-23 12:00
Duration:
Indefinetely
Affected services:
eduroam authentication service using @hiit.fi realm a.k.a. HIIT credentials.
Description:

eduroam authentication using HIIT credentials has been possible since 2008-10-20T15:21:26. At that time there was no other way to provide eduroam access to all hiiters except for HIIT to join to FUNET WLAN roaming and eduroam. Now times have changed and the world with it and nowadays both HIIT's mother universities, Aalto university and University of Helsinki, provide eduroam connectivity to their users. Due to all hiiters thus getting eduroam connectivity from their employers HIIT will shut down its eduroam authentication service.

For more information about what to do in order to continue to connect to eduroam, please see HIIT ITS eduroam wiki page.

There's also a more verbose story about eduroam and HIIT available.
