About HIIT and UIx
Ubiquitous Interaction (UIx) research group couples human-computer interaction studies with interaction design in the area of novel interfaces (mobile, ubiquitous, multimodal, mixed reality). Research cycles iterate basic user research with ethnographies or quasi-experiments, interaction design through idea generation and prototyping, and critical evaluation through field trials in real settings. We offer:
- highly motivating international projects
- state of the art technology in wireless sensing, mobile, and ubiquitous computing
- highly collaborative, user oriented, and multidisciplinary environment (our researchers have degrees in design, art, computer science, psychology, anthropology, and cognitive science)
- close collaboration with key industry players and international research groups
- excellent publication track in HCI, ubicom and related fields
- large-scale user trials in real settings
