During this five hour workshop, we engage a fast phased introduction to Python programming and some applications it has in social science. We focus on the possibilities programming has to data handling and preprocessing primarly, and present some applications of machine learning.
Due to timescale, don't expect to learn everything, but consider this as a (not so gentle) introduction to progamming, after which you can continue working on this topic yourself.
The course is an adapted version of the University of Helsinki classes.
