Martin Milanič visits Genome-Scale Algorithmics group

Prof. Martin Milanič from the University of Primorska, in Koper, Slovenia will visit the Genome-Scale Algorithmics group (a division of HIIT's Algorithmic Data Analysis subprogram and of the Department of Computer Science, University of Helsinki) between 31 August and 4 September. Prof. Milanič's field of expertise is in discrete mathematics, with an emphasis on graph theory. He will hold an 8-hour course entitled Fragments of Structural and Algorithmic Graph Theory, and will conduct research on applications of graph theory to biological sequence analysis.
