Valiant's concept of evolvability
Abstract:
L.G. Valiant has recently introduced a concept of evolvability, with the idea of finding a simple but nontrivial model that would explain what types of concepts can be the result of evolution. The model can be viewed as a modification of PAC-learning or learning from statistical queries. In the talk I will go through the basic concepts from Valiant's paper. http://eccc.hpi-web.de/eccc-reports/2006/TR06-120/index.html
