Petteri Kaski
9 June 2008 - The Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications (ICA) has awarded the Kirkman Medal for 2007 to Petteri Kaski. Kaski currently holds a post-doc position at HIIT.
According to the ICA's statement, Petteri Kaski "has established a position as an expert in several fields of discrete mathematics." Kaski is best known to the combinatorics community through his works on several major classification problems.
